"Bridging frontline clinical experience, health information systems, artificial intelligence evaluation, and scientific communication."
I am a General Practitioner with more than twenty years of clinical service across hospital medicine, primary care, and health administration in Sri Lanka. My postgraduate training in Biomedical Informatics (MSc, PGIM 2022–2024) brought that field experience into formal academic focus, and I am now completing an MD in Health Informatics as a Batch 9 trainee at the Postgraduate Institute of Medicine, University of Colombo.
My published research includes a co-authored study in BMJ Open (2020, University of Michigan collaboration) and a multi-centre cardiology paper in the Jaffna Medical Journal (2024). My community health work at Thampalakamam was featured by the World Bank in March 2022. I also write on AI and clinical practice, and published the literary nonfiction book Are You Still Human? in 2026.
